Bottle from Systembolaget Sweden.
Big, long lastning beige head.
Dark red brown color.
Dark roasted malty aroma with a mineral touch.
Sweet caramell malty taste with a firm bitterness but a light body for such intence maltiness.

12oz bottle from Farmers Bar, Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark amber, chestnut colour with a thin, frothy off-white head. The aroma is yeasty, toffee, red berry fruits. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a rich, smooth, toffee, burnt treacle, red berry fruit, light warm alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Rather nicely balanced and tasty. Pleasantly surprised.

750 mL bottle poured, pulled from the cellar. Not sure on the bottle date here, but if I were to guess, this is a 2017 or 2018. Copper, dark amber pour, decent amount of tan foam head that hangs on, touch of sediment. Nice dark fruit notes, some raisin. Caramel, gentle bready, bran like malts. Seems to have held up really nicely over the years. Easy drinking for its strength, so really smoothed out if I remember correctly from trying this one fresh. Long lingering raisin note. Solid, classic belgian ale from my local shelves, although brewed many miles away. Not surprised this one has continued to come back over a decade later. Very good brew.

750ml bottle. Poured a dark brown w/large, foamy had into tulip glass. Raisins, spice, caramel etc. Thought it was a dubbel really. Anyway I liked it quite a bit, would get it again.

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, caramel, spicy herbal notes, ’kerststol’, cinnamon, yeast, brown sugar, a little chocolate. Flavour is sweet with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Body is medium to full. Rich and tasty, enjoyable sippin’ beer.
