Backlog from 15th November at Monty's Bar. On cask. Appearance - dark brown to black and opaque. Crema head. Nose - roast and chocolate notes. Creamy. Taste - more creamy chocolate and a roasty edge. Palate - creamy and roasty at the same time. Close to medium bodied. Overall - good.

Cask @ Five Bells, Wickham. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, caramel, fruits, hops and has a nice roasty finish.

Can from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham and shared in Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin tan head. The aroma is big roasty malt, caramel, coffee, liqouirce. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, sweet chocolate, liqouirce, dry hop palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

ABV: 4.8%. Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, dark malt, chocolate, milk chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, dark malt, sweet malt, chocolate, milk chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190621]

Bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, liquorice, earthy. Taste: light sweet & moderate bitter, chocolate malts, toffee, lactose, creamy coffee. Dry bitter finish. Thin to medium bodied with generous carbonation.

Rating No.9700 Canned 330ml. -from De Bierkoning Amsterdam. Pitch black coloured, small to medium sized tan head, mild chocolate and cocoa powder in the nose. Light roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa powder, mild nutty and slightly bitter roasty finish. Smooth.

Can shared by Dutchdrebus. Dark brown to black color, average sized bege head. Smell and taste malts, earthy, some roast. Taste malts, roasty a bit, lightly earthy, decently bitter. Decent body and carbonation. 7-4-7-3-15.
