On tap. Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has roasted malts with some lactose sweetness and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is similar with chocolate and roasted malt with lactose coming out in the finish.

Draft at the brewpub. Deep opaque brown body, thin tight beige head. Rich roasty nose with cocoa and woody acidity. Roasty body with light lactic sweetness and a woody, acidic bite in the finish. Subtle sweetness but it enhances an average stout.
