Inspired by Mexican hot chocolate. It is carefully blended with Dutch chocolate coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, and habaneros which will leave you with the perfect balance of chocolate and heat.

Poured from bottle thanks Willrunforbeer chocolate brown with a effervescent mocha head. Aromas of roasted malt chocolate and notes of spice. Taste is decent hint of spice not much alcohol or bourbon.

bottle - Pours near black and smells of roast malt, coffee, and peppers. It has a dark roasted, sweet malt flavor backed up chocolate and coffee notes and yes, obvious spicy heat. I didnβt find the heat overwhelming though. The other flavors are strong enough to compete with it and while the finish is spicy, the medium to full body eases the heat enough to make it enjoyable.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle dated June 10th, 2015. Aroma is full of chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg and peppers with a lot of dark chocolate and cinnamon. Some light roast and hints of alcohol. Pepper note is slightly green. Some light raisin and prune notes as well. Pours dark brown to black with a small, moderately thick, mocha head that recedes quickly to the edges and disappears. Flavor is moderately sweet with quite a bit of chocolate upfront. As the chocolate recedes caramel and some light roast notes become noticeable. A wave of cinnamon follows with some pepper notes and spice. Nutmeg and coffee are very light. Medium bitterness and a touch of alcohol spice. Some lingering spice from the peppers. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer, but for my personal tastes the coffee is too faint and the spices too strong. I do like that itβs not overly alcoholic. Also, the lingering pepper spice is well proportioned.

Bottle from secret Santa BlowOffTube, thanks for the opportunity! Solid black color with a smallish tan head that dissipates almost instantly. Aromas of cinnamon and nutmeg with a whole lot of chocolate and some light earth and roast to round us out. The flavor is spices up front with chocolate coming in next, nutmeg pops out again before the spicy heat settles into the back of the throat and just lingers there. Medium body with a light level of carbonation. That is a tasty beer. could use a hint more carbonation, but I still enjoyed the hell out of it .

Shared bottle, pint glass. It was as described: chocolate and spices with the chili following the chocolate on the palate. I thought it was good, but it is more of a novelty rather than something I would drink again.

Bottle. Very dark brown with small creamy tan head, caramel-chocolate aroma, medium carbonation, milk chocolate taste with alcohol undertones, long finish with alcohol aftertaste. Drinking it feels like having a chocolate drink with rum inside!

12oz bottle side by side with the bourbon variation. Even more pepper tones. Monstrous cinnamon and nutmeg tones. Juicy vegetal pepper. Really tasty, juicy Imperial Stout tones. Superior to the barrel aged version if you ask me. Right on.

12 oz. Bottle in a trade with fishmich. Doing a side-by-side with the Bourbon Barrel version. Aroma is mild chili pepper, cinnamon with a nice deep chocolate body. Hints of ash.
The flavor is starts with the chocolate cake upfront followed by cinnamon and a trace of vanilla. The finish comes with a nice amount of habanero pepper and cinnamon to help keep the heat at bay. Yet as I drink the heat does build up. A really nice body for a lower gravity stout, way fuller and chewy then most at a 6 percent. Very nice.
