ATLAS & THOR start with a sour red ale base, fermented for many months in one of our spontaneous solera vessels. These large aging tanks were originally filled using 50 gallons of coolship spontaneous beer and then more wort was added over a period of time until the vessel was full. Over the last three years, a small portion of the finished beer has been removed for packaging, which was then replaced with fresh wort, allowing the beer to mature. No cultured microbes have been added during the entire process.
These sister beers are made using the same base beer and fruits, but with different amounts of the black currant and plum. ATLAS is 75% black currant and 25% plum and THOR is 75% plum and 25% black currant.

Poured from bottle. Super murky, light orange amber with small white head. Plummy, hint of oak, okay.

Pours very murky brown. Tart acidity on the nose, a bit of funk. Strawberry and cherry. Nice tartness.

Opaque, dullish colour. Thin head. It has a bit of lactic, like some blackberry note, so the fruits are nice here. There's a bit of lactic acid, a touch of barrel.

375mL bottle, pours an opaque murky reddish amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is murky, with dark currants, lots of earthiness, and plummy pith. Flavour is buggy, with earthy currants, pithy plums, and some oak. A bit jumbled and murky, but not particularly complex or refined. Decent.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish hazel, small fizzy beige head, dissipates quickly to wispy lacing. Aroma is tannic, stone fruit, varnish, wood. Flavor is medium plus tart, medium funk, faded fruit. Merlin body.

Red, hazy beer under a small nondescript rim. Fruit, red fruit mainly, and lactic acid. Sour, other grains, rye, dark/red fruit, old cookies. Acidthinning, long-lasting fruitflavours, rather good carbonation. The oxydized grains' flavour does harm the overall impression, which might have been much more inviting. Pity.

Sampled at BXL 2018. Pours unclezr dark amber. No real head. Smell is funky. Mild Ood, mild fruit. Taste is sharp. Intense. Tart. Mild fruit. Malty ending. Intense.

375ml bottle thanks to Steve pours out red pink topped with a sand head. Nose is plum berries plenty sweet fruit and tart notes. Taste is more of the nice sweet fruit notes berries barrel and some oak.
