Brewed with Tomahawk and Simcoe hops. Viven Imperial IPA came from the westcoast of America but is brewed in Flemish style and gives a great result. It will make the beer lovers heart beat a bit faster. An adventure for your senses. Amber coloured with a thin off-white head, Viven Imperial IPA is a good hoppy beer with citrus accents. Fruity nose (peach and pink grapefruit) with floral flavours, recalls a forest (spruce) in the early morning. The hops are prominent. Viven Imperial IPA is pleasently bitter.

From a bottle, 5$. Date code 6781206, whatever that means? Pop the lid and I get this odd sweet cloying nose, whew, don't bet many IPA that smells like this! The eye on this is darker brown and slightly cloudy. Yes, big bitter uptake on the first taste along with a little bit of dirt and some mild cough medicine, whew, never tasted anything like this before. Its a unique mouth coating slightly viscous farmy bomb of bitter hops, and tingling alky. This may sound weird, but there is a chance I detect a hair pf tartness way down inside beyond the forward attributes. Really really unique. But hey, these euro guys do IPA all in there own time and style. Must say, most IPA I've done from the old country is quite quirky and idiosyncratic. Whew, when I get to the bottom of the bottle, these big brown scary chunks come floating out into my glass. Large frightening nuggets, not kidding!!!

Aroma of malts, caramel, tropical fruits, yeast, citrus, herbs, hops. Flavour is moderate sweetness with a medium bitter aftertaste. Wonderful Belgian DIPA, masterfully balanced.

Color ámbar, turbia, corona de espuma blanco hueso bien conservada. Potente aroma a malta tostada, hierba, cítricos maduros, especias...

Bottle @ home. Dark golden body under a nice tan head. Aroma has malt, toffee, ripe citric fruit, marmalade and hint of oranges peel. Taste is sweet malt, toffee, citric fruit and fine bitterness. Fine body with long lasting sweet and bitter aftertaste. Nice old school IPA with a Belgium twist.
