Can from House of Trembling Madness. Light hazy amber with small consistent off-white head. Aroma of bread, grass, some sweet-floral notes. Taste is bread, light doughy, drying floral-grassy finish. There is an element of it being sweet and savoury but difficult to pick up Yorkshire pudding if honest. Good bitter though.

500ml bottle from Bishop Auckland Food Festival. Golden colour, white foam head and aroma of malt, bread. Taste is sweet malty, grain, bready, with some tangy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite OK.

Bottle gift from my brother – drank at home. Pours golden amber with a medium sized frothy off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is decidedly malty with touches of bread rolls and yeast as well. Malts also prominent in the mouth, along with batter and hints of caramel, chocolate and marmalade. Some hops come through later leading to a slightly bitter finish. Decent and not too much of a gimmick – I loike it.

Bottle from local Aldi. Pours clear dark gold with an off-white cap. Aroma: sweet malts, bread, honey. Taste: moderate sweet & light bitter, bread, toffee hints, light hoppy. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Simple but too sweet for me.

[50cl bottle from my local Aldi.] A pale amber pour with a tight cream head and heavy carbonation; leafy hop aroma; some leafy hops to start then a sweet bready body; and a light grassy bitterness to finish. Not a bad light bitter.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear copper-gold with a small, creamy off-white head. Light sweet flavour with notes of toasted malts, light pine, a little toffee, soft leafy hops. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, more mellow toffee, a few golden raisins, light bitterness. Simple and easygoing.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Nov 22. Brought by me. Misty pale golden yellow with small white head. Bog standard trad pale, with a brisk bitterness. Doesn't taste of Yorkshire puddings whatsoever, bit misleading in that respect.

21st November 2022; Shrewsbury Beer Share, five guys and loads of beer. Cheers Mat for the 500ml bottle of this: BB 14th February 2022. Clean golden body, wispy white head. Mild bread aroma and flavour, malty rather than hoppy; kind of different but not enough to get excited about.
