Intense and hoppy. Round, tasty, very bitter. On the verge of being imbalanced. Still pretty smooth. Thanks Chris P. !

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 23 Nov 2017) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with grapefruit, resin and citrus peel. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, resin, caramel, red fruit, toast and a generous citric/resiny bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty, with a fresh hop character. Nice one.

On tap at Craft Room, Opatovina, Zagreb. Summer of 2017. Shared with Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran. Clear amber, medium off-white head, good retention. Moderately hoppy - fresh hops, fruity and light herbal. Very hoppy, nice, but no malty background. Medium body, soft to moderate carbonation, lightly hoppy finish. Thankfully on the bitter side, but therefore no balance.

Can from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - amber with a generous fluffy head. Nose - light biscuit, pine and resin. Taste - more resin and pine. Caramel at the back, but only slight again. Extremely pungent for the style. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture. Dry finish but not too bitter. Overall - like the golden ale, very pungent. But more palate-able than the golden ale.
