The whimsical spirit of the Mad Hatter is brought to life with floral aromatics from assertive dry-hopping and a bright, hoppy body punctuated with Centennial, Citra, and Mosaic hops. Notes of citrus and pine artfully play off a malty backbone. Pouring clear, clean, and crisp, Mad Hatter ‘zigs’ where hazy ‘zags.’

GBBF Day 1. Bottle share. Thank you whoever opened this. Hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light and airy with good fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, some caramel - toffee. Lovely peach and mango, hop spice accentuated. Resinous orange and tropical fruits. More hop spice on the smooth finish. Rather lovely.

Bottle at gbbf. Many thanks to James. Hazed golden orange coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is nice floral citrus, pollen, peach. Flavour is composed of light biscuit, light carmale base malts, lemon, peach. Palate is medium body, sticky hop resin, spritzy carbonation. Solid IPA.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 4/16/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness and complexity of bright citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warmth present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
