Panda from LCB. Clear gold, small white top. A slightly soapy lemon aroma with cereal. Taste of grains, grass, lemon sherbet, light hibiscus. Mid bodied, drying, somewhat cloying, bitter. More flavour profile than your average pale lager but its not that refreshing or tasty in truth.

Bottle from the Cooperative Supermarket in the seaside town of Cromer, but I took this one away from the town centre to drink elsewhere at a later time. Healthy clear golden with a small head. Pretty standard but with a notable body to it.

On tap at Crewe Dog. Pours a golden yellow with a small almost white head and good lacing. There’s continental hops and sweet malts in the aroma, plus lemon and herbal traces. In the mouth it is mainly sweet, but with some underlying bitterness, and medium carbonation. Flavour has grains, lemongrass and continental hops plus hints of ginger and citrus leading to a slightly juicy finish. This a decent refreshing lager.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Birthday gift from the missus. Clear pale gold. Decent white head. Some lemony notes on top of semi sweet grain. Easy drinking with some sweetness. Clean and nicely burp inducing. Light bitter finish.
