Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a pale straw with a large white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma, just some hints of floral hops and malts. Sweet malts to the fore at first in the aroma, but later some bitter hops come through along with grains and traces of orange peel. Sweetness returns at the finish. It’s OK, nothing more.

Hand-pulled pint on St Davids Day (1st March) 2023. Thomas Botfield (Spoons). Pale blonde body, clean and clear; large white crown that lasted. Not much going on to be honest, mild grassy aroma and taste, light bitterness and a hint of sweet malts, let's go for 'subtle' rather than 'bland'.

Cask at The William Morris, JDW, London. Pours clear gold with a moderate, white foam head. Hay, straw, light grass and pee in the nose. Has a pleasant, lightly sweet flavor with hints of dough, wet hay and grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild dryness in the finish, more wet hay, some light sweet dough, very mild bitterness. Not at all bad, if I’m honest with you.

Cask conditioned at The Gardeners Arms, Plantation Road, Oxford on the Ratebeerian day around Oxford 09-02-08 Mid gold in colour with white head, bit hoppy but bland an uninteresting found it a bit cardboardy.
