From the bottle. Virtually black with a light beige head. Aroma is charcoal and chocolate fudge. Taste is sweet up front, full of chocolate and caramel. The smoke and the bitterness plays out at the finish, which is bittersweet overall and ends with a light hint of cherry. Body is medium, quite oily, carbonation is mild. Very nice.

Beer rated was labelled Viven Smoked Porter. Shared bottle at home. Pours black with little light beige head. Aroma of smoke, chocolate, roasted notes. Tastes slightly sweet with roasted bitterness. Some alcoholic warmth.

Bottle @ home. Just rated it, then Ratebeer gave an error and I lost it.. And now my glass is already rinsed and I don't have a rating. Tldr was: smokey, earthy, liquorice, some iron. Medium body, nice carbo.

33cl bottle @ home from Willems en Zonen, Grobbendonk BE. Pitch black colour with a big, lasting, slightly chunky brown head. Smells roasty, chocolate, sweet, some liquorice, slightly alcoholic and some iron. The first thing I notice about the taste is some iron, which is a downer for me. I also taste roastness, liquorice, liquorice wood, a slight saltyness and some salmiak. I?m not a big fan of liquorice taste in beers. Medium to full body, large co2 bubbles and slightly dry. It?s a nice beer but not really amazing or anything. After eating some cheese the chocolate in the beer is more noticable, which makes it a better beer for me.

Botella 33 cl en el Kraken 16..12..2017. Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscuro persistente. Sabores maltosos tostados algo secos con toques suaves de café y ligeros especiados. Cuerpo ligero a medio algo seco. Suave amargo final. Buena.

Bottle as "Smoked Porter", 7%. Very dark brown with medium brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, smoke, caramel and meat. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, smoke, meat, caramel, little liquorice, medium sweet and medium bitter.

Appearance is almost black, with a big light brown head which gradually settles. Aroma- chocolate malt, coffee, dark malts, smoky traces, toast. Taste- chocolate, toasty malt, chocolate fudge, coffee, biscuity malt.
