(bottle) Hazy, dark brown colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty and roasted malty aroma with notes of leather, as well as traces of caramel and chocolate. Moderately sweet flavour, quite light bodied with a calm carbonation. Slightly roasted dark malty aroma with shy traces of chocolate, bread crust, leather; dry-ish, slightly sweet and roasty bitter, also quite short finish. A slim and Schwarzbier-like brew. 16.IX.14

Bottle. A murky brown beer topped by a small, dense, light beige head. The aroma is a tad much on the grainy malty side I think, with prunes, toffee and some roasted notes and a metallic hint. Medium to full body and a pleasant carbonation level. Semi-dry. Toffee, dark rye bread, prunes, some nuts and grain in the flavor. A touch of bitterness and a generic fruityness too. Lasting toffee and prune finish. A decent one, but not a winner in my book. 140927

Mild malziger Antrunk, leicht herb und angenehm hopfig. Weiterhin mild, spritzig, könnte durchaus intensiver sein. Minsk röstig. 11/9/9/9/7/9

500ml bottle from Sourced Market at St Pancras. Dark ruby clear beer with a thin beige head. OK I’m a bit drunk and all I really want now is an Orval so this up against it a bit. A choc lager aroma. A decent beer to be honest, like the unfiltered lager, it’s well made with nothing at fault at all. Some milk choc from the malt. Just very drinkable. Decent choc and just a lager drinkability that makes it very likeable. Yep, I like this..
