Not only did we throw a mountain of raspberries into this brew, we backed them up with a generous amount of berry forward Mosaic and Barbe Rouge hops! The result is a refreshingly tart, fruit forward sour ale.

Appearance: amber pink-ish to red color with a one finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: red raspberries - tart and sweet, light citrusy to grassy hoppy notes underneath
Flavor: tart to sour aspects of the raspberries up front, the sweetness is pretty restrained; finishes with the raspberries
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper; some smoothness but also plenty of the pucker factor to slow down the smoothness
Overall: nicely done raspberry ale worthy of returning to preferably in the Summer.

(Can) Reddish amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of raspberries, pink grapefruit and white bread. Fruity, tart taste with raspberries, blood orange, pink grapefruit and white bread. Low bitterness. Light body, with a slight sweetness. Fruity and refreshing, with lots of raspberries.

Can from the lcbo. Hazy, cloudy pinkish red pour, with a small off white pink head. Aroma is a lovely bouquet of floral tart raspberries and lacto. Mouth feel and carb are perfect. Finish is tart, puckering, raspberry juice, and refreshing. Quite nice.

Rot wie ein Smoothie, in der Nase Himbeeren, soweit erwartungskonform. Im Trunk angenehm sauer, dezente Süße, dazu Himbeeren, hinten nicht zu trocken, lecker.

35cl Blik van Beer Republic. Mistig rozerode kleur, roze kraag. Volle bak frambozen, redelijk zuur, citroenzuur, bessen, dry hop haal ik er niet (meer) uit maar dit is een heel fijn zuur bier. Lichte body.

#21 Beer Republic advent calendar. 355 ml can. Hazy purple, creamy head. Fresh raspberries and blackberries, grassy hops, lactic acid, jammy notes, red and black currant, elderberries, lemon juice. Mild dry sourness, slightly bitter, some fruity sweetness. Medium bodied, watery texture, lively to soft carbonated, dry sour bitter but rather fruity finish. Really nice raspberry sour!
