Duration brewery are creating some of the most nuanced, complex and accomplished beers in the UK right now so it was an honour to welcome co-founder Bates and brewer Andy for a collab and epic Southern-inspired BBQ.

The result is Faces, an IPA brewed with an elaborate hop bill of Centennial, El Dorado, Idaho 7, Mosaic and Vic Secret hops, all sitting upon a fluffy, bouncy base of spelt and oats. We’re getting aromas of ripe pineapple and candied mango followed by ethereal and undulating flavours of candied orange, grapefruit, pine sap and mulberry jam.

Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2023, Saturday. Hazy yellow golden beer with a white head. Aroma and Taste of stone fruits, citrus, mango, mild bitterness.

Can from Caledonian Craft Beer Merchant. Hazy golden body with an off-white head that slowly fades. No visible carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of orange zest and pine. Flavour of orange and pineapple. Medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. A juice bomb.

Can at home in the garden, 1st October 23. Pours a hazy orange. Aroma is juicy oranges, citrus, sherbert. Taste is bitter marmalade, dusty hops, dry, juicy citrus, bursting with flavour, great balance and a great IPA

Can at home, from HOTM online, 08/09/23. Murky orange with a good sized off white cap. Nose is bitter tropical fruits, pine needle, dank hop, guava, papaya, mandarin. Taste comprises orange pith, splash of lime, lychee, pine resin, dank spike, sharp tropicana. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come dankened hop bitterness. Solid crushable IPA.
