I’m glad I came across this one: Mikkeller x Budvar #Year of the Lager 4.6% Crystal clear gold with thick white foam which doesn’t last. It has a nice herbal, dusty malty aroma. Medium bodied, dry and raspy carbonation. The taste is herbal, peppery and even a touch ashy with light soda bread maltiness. Ok.

Can.Clear golden colour with medium white head.Aroma of hops and malt nice grass and grain not to medium body and crispy finish ø.

Pint at Mikkeller CPH Airport, waiting for my delayed flight. A crisp, clean, bright golden pour with a thick, finely lacing, sticking to the glass off-white head. Aroma is mainly animal, and there's some funk as well, so I'm not sure this was intended or this batch is foul. There's cheese, rotten peach, sweat, but also roses, pear and banana pie. I don't know what to make of this. Dry, quite fizzy, medium-bodied. Nice dry bitter finish, lasting long. Mouthfeel is much more normal than the aroma phase. Truth is I don`t dislike it, but the initial scents made me back off a little.

44cl can. Pours amber gold, medium transparent, with fine white foam. Aroma is of cereal, bready and malty, with a hint of herbaceous. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium bitter, with some cereal sweetness behind. Final is average, with some more bitterness.

From backlog. On tap, at Warpigs, Copenhagen. Golden with white head. Malts, hops, yeast, grain, sweetness.

Weich herber, moderat hopfiger und stark getreidiger Beginn. Etwas grasig, geringe, mit der Zeit etwas zunehmende Bitterkeit, spritzig. Mittellanger, herb-hopfiger Abgang. Gelungen. 10/11/12/11/9/11

Aroma: crisp malts, yeast, floral hops and crackers. Taste: crackers, yeast and noble malts. Clean bitter mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Next one please!

CPH draught, 5/16/24. Clear, bright brass-maize. Small, pretty well-retained, white head. Honey like malts with soft, floral hops, bit of herbal bitterness and gentle yeast notes. Clean. In the mouth there's decent bitterness. It's a bit thin and disjointed in palate, though. Biscuit, grain, maybe a bit of corn...has the correct elements for the style, but the maltiness is very lacking, which is a big problem.
