pitch black color. Charcoal molasses, treacle, black strap licorice, almost salty nose. The barrel character is fairly well hidden in the nose, but the palate is much different, beautiful bourbon, oak, toffee layered over chocolate cake. Low medium carbonation, super smooth and rounded. Off dry. Very impressive alcohol well hidden. Slightly warm finish

Can 330ml (Kihoskh) Opaque colour, tiny brownish head. Roasted sweetish aroma with lots of bourbon. Full-bodied. Sweet, roasted chocolate, vanilla and Bourbon. Fat, simplish, malty, good.

Black beer, tan head. Smells sweet, boozy and malty. Flavour has the bourbon, a bit of woodiness, toasty malt, caramel, vanilla, a bit of sweet chocolate. Manages to be pretty sweet without being sickly, and has a punchy hit from the bourbon. Rich, looks oily on the glass and really is just lovely and warming. Very good stuff.

330ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate, raisin. Taste is very rich, sweet, bourbon, chocolate, a lot of raisins, dried fruits, vanilla, caramel, warming booze. Very thick, smooth.

Can at Barley & Bait, Helsinki. Color is very dark brown with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Chocolate, Cacao, barrel elements, sweetness... simple but nice strong malty body.

Tap. Dark brown. Vanilla almond cherry milk chocolate chalk. Nice fizzy fluffy hazelnut milkshake. Sweet mon cheri aftertaste.
