You’ve tried real ale. And you might think you know what real ale tastes like. But don’t be so shore. This is real exciting real ale. Columbus, Mosaic and Citra come together to give a light fruitiness and a balanced bitter finish all brought together with a lightly toasted biscuit and caramel aroma. Real ale like your grandad’s never tasted. This is punked up proper ale.

440ml can from Sainsburys. Amber in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Dominated by sweet caramel character, with some grassy hops, touch of tangerine fruit and a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle at home picked up from Morrisions. A light hazed orange / pale amber coloured pour with a lasting fine white head. Aroma is semi sweet, toasted bread, wet pine tips, grasssy hop, damp hay, hint of weed. Flavour is composed of dry bread, toasted malts, grass, pine, big drying crisp mineral, chalk, Little harsh and abrasive, prickly carbonation.

Foamy off white head on an bet coloured body. Malt, caramel & fruity aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a lively back. Dried fruit, malt, caramel & toffee tastes with a nicely hopped bitter finish. Very good attempt at breaking into the traditional ale market.

Keg at BDCW - London. Pours clear gold, effervescent, with a tight, creamy white head. Light-medium sweet flavour, bread, with nips of sun-kissed pale malts, citrus fruit, a little pale grain. Light bodied with average carbonation. Alright balance to finish. Simple stuff. But drinkable enough.
