Can from the LCBO. Dark mahogany with a one finger frothy khaki coloured head that hangs around and leaves tight lace. Maple syrup is prominent in the nose with coffee, roast nuts and dark chocolate evident. Light++ maple sweetness with a a medium coffee bitterness. Mouth is medium and creamy with soft carbonation and a bitter finish. Maple could be dialled back a bit but overall solid. 8/4/7/3+/15
Classic porter pour. Taste of coffee with maple flavoured creamer, chocolate, toasted malts. It's mildly sweet, lingers coffee and maple. The maple comes on stronger than expected, not metabolized. Generally pretty good, it's as advertised.
