Hazy IPA

We rolled up a mix of sticky, floral, and tropical hops into this Dank Little Thing. Amarillo®, Chinook, and CTZ varieties help pack that resinous flavor and spark an aroma that fills a room. Stash it while you can before the next hazy IPA rotator hits.

Pours hazy amber with a thick white head. Aroma of pine. Taste has some grass, dark pine, straw, fairly sweet malt base. Palate has more pine on the nose, some of the advertised dank notes, complimentary fruity notes on the finish. Good.

Packaged on 10/18/23. Aromas are slightly stale citrus and resin hops. Flavors are similar to nose, good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Still fairly drinkable. Wish I would have had a fresh one.

Can, from Whole Foods, Manhattan. Pours hazy bright yellow with a large foamy off-white head, lemon zest aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter lemon peel-pineapple taste, thin body, long bitter lemon peel finish. Quite citrusy.

12 oz. can, 7.5% ABV, Packaged on: 12/21/23

AROMA: Slightly sweet with scents of guava, lemon, and orange. There's also a fair amount of dankness, yet you don't get hit over the head with it. Which makes for quite an odoriferous pleasure.

APPEARANCE: Pours a hazy light-gold with a tall, white, tight-froth head that dissipates slowly and has excellent lacing. This beer looks very enticing in a clear Pilsner glass.

TASTE: On the front-end, slightly sweet with predominant flavors of pine and dankness, which is then followed by the secondary flavors of orange and grapefruit. The finish is moderately bitter with just the right amount of orange peel flavor.

MOUTHFEEL: Full-bodied and very juicy. The texture is a little sticky and dry with above-average carbonation.

OVERALL: I'm finding that the more I sip on this beer, the more I enjoy it. It's got a really nice balance of sweet and bitter, and provides just the right amount of dankness. From first sip to finish, it's a winner in my book. It's a shame that it's a limited edition beer, because I would buy this year round if it were available.

12oz can. What a terrible beer. Floaties galore. Sierra Nevada should really be ashamed, and then fire their marketing director or anyone who ever thought Hazy Little Things was the way to go. Some juicy San Diego tone. Half ass body. Mess of a beer.

12oz can at Handle Bar. Pours cloudy orange with a medium sized off-white head, good lacing. Fruity, dank hops, pine resin. Good, I like this.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a hazy, orange gold with a finger of off-white foam that lingers. Nectarine and mandarin aromas on the nose. Palate is very similar with a clear piney, dank finish that lingers.

Sweeter than prior Little Thing variants, but still a killer IPA. Not particularly dank, but still offers up notes of juicy tropical fruit and candied citrus peel, with a touch of pine and minerals. Again, it’s sweet, but Sierra Nevada’s got a good thing going with these beers.
