Dark brown colour with a tan head. Mild caramel aroma. A lot of roasted malt in the flavour. Mild caramel in the background. Light licorice. Well anyway. England scored against Sweeden when I had this in the glass. So I might buy some more before Euro 2012 is over.

Bottle 500ml @ Geokkjer
Pours clear deep brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and a hint of chocolate. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

500 ml bottle @ Geokkjers Lambic Farm. Clear, dark amber body with a big, creamy tan head. Very week in aroma, almost just as a faint hint of caramel with some diacetyl lurking in the background. Not much flavor either, light roasted caramel malt and low bitterness. Thin body and short aftertaste. Not really bad but rather anonymous and boring. Had this one side by side with Klostergården Brown Ale which is at the same strength and in a totally different league. There is a lot of boring Brown Ales out there, but we have several lot more flavorful samples as well, even in Norway. Disappointing.

Bottle, courtesy of Beer3000. A nice, finger-thick beige head forms over a clear, brown body. Rather weak and boring aroma with some prunes, roasted malts and a hint of diacety. Lightly metallic in the end, roasted and very lightly bitter. Roasted malts, prunes and some diacetyl in the flavor. Medium body, a bit hard on the carbonation. Well, not a bad one, but compared to other brown ales on the market, it’s certainly in the lower end of the scale. 120326

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. A very dark brown ale with an off-white head, brewed to celebrate the new Norwegian film "Skumringslandet", mostly filmed on location near Egersund. Aroma of lightly roasted malts and burnt caramel. Same elements in the flavour, but the beer is not sweet (I think I’d like a little more sweetness).. The hops are moderate, as in most brown ales. Clearly related to Rav Amber Ale from the same brewery, but darker, roastier and far less hoppy.
