La Salamandre, the original BFM, wheat beer, fresh and spicy. Brewed with wheat- and barley malt, La Salamandre is a beer with a bloomy and tangy bouquet. On the palate, the subtle hints of yeast render the beer creamy with a tad o’ tartness, which is typical for wheat beers. The finish is hardly bitter, but racy, with a taste of bitter orange zest and discrete hops.

Thanks Guillaume to share this bottle with me, at your flat at Pully, the last week, before the raclette. As usual, I right white beer on the Belgian way, really fruity and aromatic with notes of coriander, orange peel, malt and hop, well balanced, 22.10.2021

Bottle @ Eldorado, Zurich. Slightly unclear body with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and slightly acidic, very refreshing. Flavor has some of the same expression as aroma, light, smooth pale malt, mild fruitiness, refreshing sourness and some spicy yeast. Medium body and light and refreshing aftertaste. Not a beer I will consider to be a wit by the traditional style, but sure a nice and refreshing beer anyway.

Bottle with swingtop 0,33ltr: Hazy yellow colours with an subtle citrus taste, and there is some sourness too. Quite interesting Belgian Witbier from the Swiss canton named Jura.

Trübe gelbe Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Getreidiger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich getreidig, fruchtig mit Koriander und Orangen, malzig. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Draught at Au Trappiste, Bern. Cloudy, straw colored. AROMA- wheat, vanilla, coriander. FLAVOR- moderately sweet, lightly bitter, vanilla, wheat, coriander, hay. Medium bodied. Nice one.

0,15l from tap at Au Trappiste, Bern shared with Powy. Yellow Hazy color, small white head. Smells grassy, spices, yeasty, ripe fruits, light caramel, light chlorophyll. Decent smell. Medium body, soft carbonation. Tastes grassy, spices, peppery, earthy, light chlorophyll, lightly yeasty, ripe, tobacco, light sweetness. Finishes lightly sweet with notes of grass, tobacco and notes of ripe fruits. Nice one, good to drink 6,4,7,3,14

Lightly grainy. Soft sessionable. Bit of refreshers taste. Light and airy. Light fruit. Good stuff, but maybe felt a bit underpowered. Glad I started with it.
