Here it is, our latest and long-awaited collaboration with Brouwerij Kees!

Dark, bold, and sleek, Until Dawn is a Double Black IPA and, as far as we're concerned, the perfect way to end 2023. During this collaboration, we brought together the knowledge and expertise of our brewing teams to bring this unique brew to life. Thanks to generous amounts of Citra, Galaxy, and Sabro hops, and a well-thought-out blend of malt, you can go on with Until Dawn until the break of day, whatever your plans may be.

Dark brown with a frothy, beige head. Aroma full of pine and dark chocolate. Taste is bittersweet up front, a mix of resin bitterness and toffee sweetness. Increasingly bitter at the back. Long, bitter finish. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Good black ipa.

On tap at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, pours black with a beige head. Aroma with medium roasted malt and some earthy hops. Flavour is rich, with lots of roasted malt, earthy hops, and a touch of pine, with maybe a trace of diacetyl. Balanced well, though not the most dense in either the malt or hop department. Could be improved, especially with that buttery character.

Pours a deep dark colour and a frothy beige head with pretty good retention. Yeast particles visible at the bottom of the glass. Aroma's of piney hopes, drop/licorice, roasty, a bit umami. Retronasal it's roasted, drop, sweetish, bitterish. Flavour is light droppy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied. Rather soft mouthfeel. Finishes with drop, a short firm bitterness, and then it mellows again. Very nice.

Can 33cl. @home poured into a shaker. Opaque amberbrown colour, good frothy beige head, half way lasting, fair lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, citrus, blue berries, blackberries, some cocoa, piney hops. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, roasty malt, caramel, coffee groundings, dark chocolate, dark fruits, pine resin. Above medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, dry sweetbitter aftertaste, lingering roastiness, chocolate notes, interesting and complex brew, well-made, very good.

Can picked up from Walther Mai, München shop and consumed at home Thursday 25th January 2024 listening to Deb Grant and Tom Ravenscroft on 6Music after Meatballs and Orzo for tea. Black with a cappuccino coloured sticky head. Nice roastiness, good bitterness, nice hoppiness in fact it's a very nice balanced beer and hugely drinkable for an 8+% beer. Lovely stuff.

Taste is mellow,,dank, citrus and roasted malts, Sabro works so well in a black ipa, like Sorachi, it’s bitter and complex, well balanced and well made Bipa

0.33 l can from 'Rebelbeercans', canned in November 2023. Hazy, very dark brown to black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, quite fruity and a bit resiny aroma of caramel, chocolate, coffee, tropical fruits, some pine and light blueberry. Very sweet, malty, gently roasty, slightly bitter, quite fruity and gently resiny taste of caramel, cocoa, coffee, hazelnut, tropical fruits, pine and some blueberry, followed by a short, gently bitter, roasty and moderately dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite sweet for a BIPA, good balance between fruity/resinous hops and roast though. Different but nice.
