440ml can from Asda - Jet black body with a lacing tan head. Oily texture, great sweet caramel hit, savoury finish afterwards. Notes of roasted nuts, liquorice, but only as a background to the creamy toffee character.

So smooth. Not overly sweet. Under the radar.

0,5 l can. Pours almost black with a finger of light brown, quickly dissipating head. Aroma of medium roasted coffee, caramel, dark chocolate. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter. Flavor generally follows aroma, there's a hint of saltiness. Alcohol is well hidden, although ABV is a bit low for imperial. Just enough bitterness to offset heavy sweetness. Body is full, texture oily, carbonation gentle. Very decent. Hardly imperial though.

440ml can as part of an ASDA delivery. Drunk at home. Dark brown and opaque with ring of brown head. Vanilla, cheap salted caramel, coffee aroma. Delicious sweet (but not too sweet) taste, more salted caramel, fudge, coffee, some bitterness closing on the long finish. Oily body with little carbonation. Not the most exciting impy but certainly more than competent.

440ml can. Pours jet black with a large head. Aroma is salted caramel, roast, coffee and cough syrup. Taste has salted caramel and biscuits to start, with sweet caramel and roast on the finish.

Dark brown colour, moderate sized dense ecru-ish head; aroma and taste of dark chocolate, coffee, toffee and some ash notes; really good one; thanks so much for sharing, Kapusil!

A beer from Zagreb, which holds a bit of mystery for me being in one of two European countries that I've visited, but have never got to its capital yet. The other is Finland. Black with no head, its strength very well hidden behind the lightly salted and flavoursome caramels and chocolate. Aroma similar but slightly less stated, texture is thick but smooth and has a good mouthfeel.

440ml can from Asda. Nice black pour but a brief tanned fizzy head. Aroma of chocolate biscuit and the salted caramel - quite rich and fairly sweet with a light Neapolitan creaminess. Taste follows the same path with a moderate but building bitterness in the finish to offset the sweetness. Medium to full bodied.
I can see that a lot of different malts were used but the adjuncts dominate any malt complexity except for a general flavour of richness. Good stuff but not next level for an imperial stout.
