Hayward is the most popular variety of Kiwifruit; a plant described as a vigorous, twining, deciduous climber with heart shaped leaves. For us, the most important part is just how great Kiwifruit tastes, particularly when combined with zesty lime! We thought this classic pairing would work perfectly in a kettle sour, enhancing the sharpness and providing a real spectrum of flavour. This beer is light, refreshing and full of zesty citrus, balanced with just a little tartness.

440ml can from Thornbridge Beer Club 🍺 - hazy yellow body with a soapy white head. Nose is sharp and fruity, but can only pick out the tart lime and not the kiwi. Taste is generic fruit sour. Nothing exciting.

Quick review this as I’m allergic to kiwi fruit! Hazed gold. Fine white foam. Nose of lime and kiwi fruit. Small sip reveals a light tart and dry character. Fairly crisp and refreshing. Dry tart finish. And I didn’t collapse.

Brilliant white tight foamy head stayed on hazy vivid golden coloured body. As it says - Kiwi & Lime aroma. Medium, foamy, dry & clean with a sharp back. Kiwi, lime, soda & chalky tastes with tart finish. Both great fruits - what a great beer.
