Brewed in celebration of Lent and Easter season, Carnevale is a light-bodied Saison, using Brettanomyces along with Amarillo and Simcoe hops to generate flavor and depth. Carnevale’s complexity grows with time. The citrus notes tend to wane and the wild yeast rears its wonderfully tasting head.

750ml bottle. Stockholm, Bbe maj 2015. Enjoyed outside on a beautiful sunny day. Deep golden, thick white head. Zesty, Citrusy, hoppy and spicy aroma. Refreshing stuff. Citrusy, spicy, wheat flavor, mild funky notes. Long dry finish. Good stuff. Nice balance.

Bottle 1 pt 9.4 fl oz thanks to Knä (non-ratebeer), sampled on September 20, 2014.Cloudy orange color, smallish white head. At first banana and saisin yeast scent, then some lime zest and alcohol, also berries. Yeasty, rubber, fizzy taste. Dry yeasty aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Bottle, 0.75l, shared with Hoppiness crew. Cloudy golden color with large foamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of spicy yeast, barnyard, citrus and honey. Taste starts sweet vinous, follows by yeasty and fruity esters with mild tannin and hoppy bitterness at finish. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Very weizen-like...

A yellow beer with a soapy and big bubbled, blond head. The head is decreasing to normal and medium. The nose is fruitfull, spicy, some sweet fruits, also some unfamiliar citrusfruits. Taste is strongly spicy, fruits, sourness and citrusfruits. Medium bodied, slightly sparkling and fresh carbonation. Strong and spicy saison. Good but not a brilliant.

Coriander adn lots of floral yeast. Pours cloudy orange with good head and lacing. Sweet finish, excellent for style, great in palate and body. Light citrus. Tap at Nodding Head.

Bottled from biergenot.be, couldnt find a bottling date, medium sample. Slight hazy golden color, medium frothy white head. Aroma is slight spicy, some bubblegum, citrus, hint of barnyard. Soft bitterness, hint of lemony sourness, bit dry. Like a Bretted saison but with some quite noticeable citrussy notes. Nice, but Brett could have been more outspoken for me.

Draft pour. Pours a nice golden with a nice, cloudy head. Citrus, fruit, and spice aroma. Lemon citrus flavors with a nice spice finish. Another solid beer from lost abbey, though this one kinda stood out from the others. Good beer.

Keg at Lost Abbey/Port tasting room, 18/04/14. Lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white swirl and edgework. Nose is straw, bitter lemon, light brett snap, yeast esters, spice, pepper. Taste comprises orange peel, tarte tropicana, spice, hay, light bretty funk. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough brett infused saison but not a whole lot of depth.
