Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, dark amber with a creamy, off-white head. Rather refreshing aroma of what I fear is - shudder - British hops. Very nice though. Light body, clean and fruity with a slightly nutty touch. No real bitterness but simply velvety smooth and well rounded. The Brits know how to make tasty low alcohol beer. 160921

Rocky off white head stayed on a reddish brown still body. Malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a clean back. Malt, dried fruit & light fruit tastes with a tangy hoppy finish. Decent for what it is

Appearance is quite a dark amber, with a fizzy head. Aroma is malt, lots of raisin and dried fruit, hints of cherry, fruitcake, more malt. Taste is fluffy malt, fruitcake, treacle hints, rye, bready malt, malty smooth mouthfeel. Really good small beer.

Bottle from Village Vintners, Pyrford. Malty aroma. Light brown. Creamy soft looking head. Light bitter with a sour tang. A tad veg. Light bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Dry astringent finish. Nice enough. Has some life to it without being overly interesting.

On keg at the Stockbridge Tap. Appearance - deep amber to brown. Decent head. Nose - burnt bread. Some citrus. Taste - more burnt bread and molasses. Palate - light bodied of course, fairly fresh finish. Overall - I suppose the way you make a 2.7% beer palate-able is to up the malt content which they have done. If this was purely pale malt this would be a bit of a chore.
