Continuing our exploration on the base of our bold American Imperial Stout infused with cold-brew coffee, we are proud to present Coconut PM Dawn. This batch utilizes our new Trillium blend cold brew from Barrington. Like our previous PM Dawn variants, we slightly dialed back the coffee ratio to allow the heavy dose of coconut to balance the beer and perfectly accentuate its flavor profile.

Coconut PM Dawn presents a dark chestnut brown color with khaki head and lacing. Bold, freshly roasted dark coffee aromas swirl to the nose accented by notes of sweet shredded coconut, toasted graham cracker, caramel and chocolate chips. On the palate, cold brew derived flavors of roasted hazelnut and melted dark chocolate interweave with a bright coconut profile calling to mind macaroons, Mounds bars, and Caribbean sugar cake. As with all of our PM Dawn variants, Coconut PM Dawn offers a medium to heavy body with a luscious mouthfeel and a light bitterness for a balanced and smooth finish.

16 ounce can thanks to Matt S. Opaque, jet black pour. Puffy dark tan head. Aromas of dark roast coffee, vanilla bean and coconut sugar. Luxurious and silky mouthfeel. Flavor is decadent roasted coffee, bittersweet chocolate, burnt sugar and a hint of coconut. Remarkably smooth and immensely flavorful. Outstanding.

Very heavy on the coconut, reminds me of a Girl Scout Samoa cookie.

Fort Point draught, 3/28/22. Unclear ebony with a small, light tan head showing low retention. Tons of crunchy, dark roasted coffee beans in the nose with dark chocolate and very little coconut (definitely fine with that). Rich, lightly syrupy with a balanced coconut, milk chocolate and light coffee flavor. Quite delicate, somehow, with great attenuation and a deep, pillowy-soft texture. Maple, cherry, vanilla, touch of alcohol lingers with very little coconut. Love the restraint on the coconut, was dreading trying this one on account of it, but it's done so tastefully. Fudge, prune, coffee linger nicely.
