In 2016 we imported 650 Schaarbeekse cherry trees from Belgium. Our hopes was to get a decent yield of Schaarbeekse in 2018. But that proved to be difficult. In 2018 we had a drought. In 2019 the trees was still recovering from the year before. In 2020 one third of our trees froze. But in 2021 we finally managed to harvest enough cherries to produce a batch of kriek. And this is it. Loads of cherries added to a blend of two different batches of 2018 coolship beer.

Poff med røyk. Lett uklar rød med rosa topp som bruser og blir helt borte. Aroma; kirsebær, lynghonning, hvetemalt, humle, gjær. Smak; kirsebærsaft, humle, lynghonning, gjær, malt, syrlig eple i ettersmak. Friskt syrlig. Spandert av Djoeye. Delt med Djoeye og Leif.

Draught@TCBW2022. Deep red colour with a small pink head. Aroma is cherries, some wood, mild sweet malts, fudge and a bit spiciness. Flavour is mellow cherries, fudge, some wood and mild tartness. Really smooth and balanced. Hardcore, but at the same time a softie.

KYGG 080423. Deep red color with a pinkish head. Aroma is sourness, cherries. Flavor is cherries, cherries, vanilla , funk, nwood lemon. Very nice beer.

Bottle. Almost clear, deep red body under a disappearing pale pink head. Quite intense cherry aroma, slightly acidic and hint of almond. Taste is rich and cherry dominated with a fine balance between sweetness and acidity. Almond, vanilla and wood is playing softly in the background. Fine body with a tart finish. Nice and tasty.

Hazy ruby red, no head. Aroma of cherry and vanilla. Taste is cherry and red currant. Very special to hva this straight from the barrel at What´s brewing. Served a bit too warm , but charming.

Mørk rød lett tåkete med lys rosa skum. Lukter sure kirsebær og noe trevirke. Middels fylde. Fruktig og sur. Smaker sure kirsebær, noe vanilje og trevirke. Tørr.
