Buli. Tuo pikimusta piskimme partioi panimolla jälleen. Buli on ehkä sekarotuinen sessu, mutta yhdistelmä valioluokan ominaisuuksia: vahva jötikkä ja samanaikaisesti lempeän tottelevainen. Tätä hauvaa ei kuitenkaan kannata ottaa syliinsä (ainakaan valkean puuvillainen oloasu päällä), vaan siemailla hiljakseen hyvässä seurassa. Omakin riittää mainiosti.
Bulille on aina ollut ominaista pehmeä turvesavuisuus, joka juontuu käyttämästämme spesiaalista viskimaltaasta. Tässä erässä tuota viskimallasmäärää korotettiin puolitoistakertaiseksi. Viimeinen pentue on myös käytetty (ei siis kypsytetty) Bourbon-tammessa, joka hioo kulmahampaita hienoisen pehmeällä vaniljaisuudellaan. Muutenkin halusimme tähän erään lisätä silkkistä säyseyttä.

Bottled 330ml (from brewery, Vasa Sessions)
Opaque colour, small brownish head. Toasted, smokey aroma. Medium-bodied. Roasted, smokey, a bit hoppy. Solid.

Bottled (from Maistila Shop). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is strong peat smoked malts with some toasted and roasted malts. Flavour is peat smoked, some nutty, toasted and mild cheesy tones with a slight bit of alcohol burn. Nicely balanced, though alcohol gives a bit of a burn.

33cl bottle at Vasa tasting. Poured pretty much black in color. Thin off white head. Smoked meaty aroma. Notes of licorice, malts, roastedness, tar.

Tap at Juova, Helsinki. Colour is Very dark brown with small slightly brownish head . Aromas and flavours: Chocolate coffee some sugary sweetness... licorice too.

Draught @ Juova, Helsinki. Peaty smoky, leathery and slightly roasty with hints of wood, bourbony vanilla, earthiness and coffee.
