Can from BD Castlegate. It pours clear dark amber - brown with a small off-white head. The aroma is brown bread, oily, resinous, piney, orange marmalade, candied orange peel, cereal, revita and caramel. The taste is dry, bitter, chewy malt, cereal, rivita, brown bread, spice, bit of pithy citrus and spice with a drying, malty finish. Medium body and average carbonation. A fairly run of the mill malt - driven ale.

Sampled on draft at Homestead this beer poured a caramel-brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet golden fruit, apple and pear. The flavor was sweet golden fruit, apple, pear, yeast, faint bitterness and slight astringency. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.
