Can from BD Castlegate. It pours clear dark amber - brown with a small off-white head. The aroma is brown bread, oily, resinous, piney, orange marmalade, candied orange peel, cereal, revita and caramel. The taste is dry, bitter, chewy malt, cereal, rivita, brown bread, spice, bit of pithy citrus and spice with a drying, malty finish. Medium body and average carbonation. A fairly run of the mill malt - driven ale.

$2.95 pint can from Wine Warehouse. Pours murky amber with a small beige head. Aroma is slightly fruity, caramel, grass. Flavor is grassy, brown leaves, a bit of sour fruit without being tart, a little yeasty and bready. Finishes with bitter green grass. Heard great things about this brewery, but I find this to be rather bland.
