Kaksi Kotia saaga jatkuu. Teimme uuden Kaksi Kotia kollaboraatio- oluen tällä kertaa Jyväskylässä, Panimo Hiisin tiloissa.
Nyt oli aiheena syksy ja siihen liittyen kehiteltiin kurpitsa pale ale pohja, jota terästettiin oikealla suomalaisella Fatalii:n kehittelemällä chilillä. Todellinen pientuottajien taidonnäyte siis.
Tuloksena on varsin juotava ja miellyttävä olut, josta löytyy jopa makuna tuo chili. Kurpitsan osuus on suhteellisen pieni, mutta sanoisin, että kokonaisuus on tässä kauppavahvuisessa hyvin balanssissa. Aji Fantasy chili tuo tietenkin pienen potkun perään. Se ei iske päin naamaa vaan hiipii hissukseen perässä.

Draught@Villi Wäinö, Helsinki. Amber colour with a big off-white head. Aroma has some spiciness, yeast, caramel, floral and mild herbal notes. Flavour is rather grassy and floral bitterness with yeast, mild spiciness as well as some sweet malts to it.

Clear amber color, good white head, lace. Aroma of pumpkin ales - pumpkin seeds. Light-bodied. Some spiceyness, light fruityness, light chilli tickle. Also some burn in the aftertaste. Probably tastes more complex when its your 1st beer of the night, not the umpteenth. Chili works nicely here, base beer itself is quite simple.

Draught @ Villi Wäinö
Aroma is quite light with some spices and pumpkin(!). Also sweet berry notes and caramel. Flavour has pumpkin, some peppery spices, raspberries and distant herbal tones. Not sure where the kuuma (= hot) is, the chili is hardly observable. Feels like some spicy chistmas brew.

Tap at Villi Wäinö, Helsinki. Colour is copper with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, pumpkin?, spices and some malts. Not bad and quite interesting. Some nice and soft burning in after taste.

(Keg at Villi Wäinö, 20131019) The beer poured mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, spices and mild fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and mildly burning with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, spices, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, spicy and bitter. A mediocre spicy brew.
