Named after the Redoubt Fort in Harwich which overlooks the harbour channel, this is a robust stout. Jet black with a tan head, it is the perfect accompanimnet to game and cheese where the dry finish perfectly complements the strong flavours. Bitterness is provided by Pioneer and Pilgrim hops.

Note - previously brewed under Harwich Town.

Cask@GBBF. Black, almost opaque color, small beige head. Light coffee in the nose, a bit sweet. Toasted malty, coffeish flavor with light caramel in the background. Aftertaste has toasty maltyness and some light hops. Nicely balanced session stout.
