Trübe tiefgoldene Farbe; geringe gemischtporige Schaumkrone. In der Nase frisch, zitrusfruchtig, blumig-hopfig. Im Geschmack kraftvoll aber frisch, honigartige Süße, deutliche Hopfenbittere, malzig, fruchtig.

500ml bottle. Opalescent, orange, golden colour with average to huge, thick, dense, creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Grassy hoppy and minimally strawy, grainy, pale malty aroma, hints of grass, a touch of honey. Taste is minimally grassy, bitter hoppy, minimally starchy, pale malty basis with low residual sweetness, a touch of honey, honey-covered cereals, very weak, fruity hoppy overtones with a zesty touch of mandarine; lingering, bitter hoppy finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth, simultaneously slightly dry palate, fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Well crafted, relatively hoppy, otherwise rather ordinary Maibock - not bad.

Clear golden yellow beer with a white head. Aroma of mild sweet grainy malt, honey, straw. Taste of mild sweet pale malt, straw, honey, moderate bitterness.

Süffiger, hell malziger Beginn mit deutlicher Süße, die in Kombination mit der Herbe aber passt. Spritzig, langer Abgang, gut. 9/10/9/10/11/10

Maibock mit 6,7 % Alk. und 16,0 % Stammwürze. Hell golden, leicht trübe Farbe. Cremiger Schaum, der aber nicht extrem lange hält. Geruch nach süßem Malz und ein Hauch tropischer Früchte. Geschmacklich ebenfalls süßes Malz, ein Hauch Honig und viel Frucht (Mandarine, Grapefruit, Zitronenschale, Litschi). Deutliche Bitternoten - mehr als der typische, einheimische Biertrinker normalerweise verträgt. Durch die starke Hopfung geht das klar Richtung modernem Indian Pale Ale, nicht so sehr der ganz klassische deutsche Maibock. Schmecken tut es trotzdem und schafft doch einen guten Kompromiss aus Tiefe, Intensität, Schwere und süffiger Leichtigkeit. Ganz klar eines der besseren Biere von Störtebeker.

ABV: 6.7%. [ Courtesy of aHD'er ]. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity malt, pale malt, moderate hoppy, flowers, grass, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity malt, fruity hops, grass - flowers, meadow, hops bitter, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20240430]
