Freaky Wheat fasziniert im Glas mit haselnussbrauner Farbe und einer mächtigen Schaumkrone.
Es verzaubert die Nase mit Aromen von Traube, Vanille, Honig, Stachelbeere und etwas Banane. Im Mund zeigt sich das Freaky Wheat unglaublich cremig und weich. Der Gaumen bekommt die volle Breitseite an vielseitigen Aromen ab und der Twist zwischen Wein und Weizenbier kommt zum Vorschein. Freaky Wheat ist eine cremige und gewaltige Weizenkomposition. Völlig freaky und garantiert genial!

75cl bottle from Tanker webshop. Pours hazy orange with a modest, white head. Wheaty and boozy with rather noticable alcohol. Sweet, strong and somewhat smooth despite the slightly disturbing alcohol. 0.75 l bottle from 'Flaschenfreund', best before November 2020, cellared for over a year. Almost clear, deep amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity aroma of overripe banana, honey, sultanas and some pear. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy taste of overripe banana, honey, sultanas, apricot jam and a touch of cognac, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy and gently boozy finish. Medium to full body, just slightly effervescent and almost oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant stuff, has some Weizenbock qualities, really looking forward to the BA version now.

Fläschla (750ml, vintage 2019, Alkoholgehalt 13,0%!!!): Deep golden, almost clear, smaller and quite stable creamy white head, moderate sweetish and mildly boozy aroma of pale malt and vanilla and wood with - yes - traces of juniper; moderate to solid sweet and also mildly bitter flavour, full bodied, no doubt, with a slight alcoholic tartness; lingering and drier bitter-boozy and fruity-malty finish with returning, very delicate, traces of juniper. Maybe interesting, but surely not moreish...

(Bottle, 0.75 l - BB 26.11. 2020, from Uba ja Humal, 20190810) The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, spiciness, malts and plums. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were spiciness, banana, grass, malts, raisins, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy, sweet and bitter. A tasty spicy brew hid its ABV rather well.

Dark golden pour, clear, not that much foam just a few white bubbles. Nose is sweetish, some spices and herbal. Soft. Tastes sweet, some wheat and lots of estery yeast notes. Some light herbal bitterness, smooth and sweet still. Super nice actually, enjoying this.
