Tap @ Gulating pub, Stavanger as Pyynikin Vahvaportteri. Black body with a small beige head. Aroma is dark roasted malt, coffee and licorice. Flavor is smooth, sweet, roasted dark malt, coffee, chocolate and balanced bitterness. Fine balanced body and long lasting aftertaste. Nice one.

Bottle courtesy of Dave, cheers Dave! Consumed at home, Attenkirchen, with the Ratebeer Tasting Crew. Saturday 21st September 2019. Pours black with a little rim of tan bubbles. A little tang, some liquorice, some tar notes. Soft carbonation, a touch meaty, good.

Bottle from Alko in Helsinki. Looks dark enough for a stout, light brown head. Chocolate, mild soy in the nose. Velvety cacao, light roasted notes without that black malt astringency, not overly complex. Light malty sweetness but less than I'd expect for a >7% beer - well balanced by earthy hops.

Bottle. Darkest brown, low head. Iodine roast aroma. Medium full sweet sparkly, roast, hop fizz, coffee, brown sugar finish. Quite drinkable.

222545. [As Pyynikin Vahvaportteri] Bottle from Euro Swap 2019-1 thanks to Rosenbergh at home. Opaque dark brown to black color, full sized mocha head. Aroma is malts and a bit dusty. Flavor is malts, a bit dusty, sweeter than I had expected, although it has a malty bitter finish. The carbonation unfortunately is annoyingly high. Body is decent. Hmm ok. 6-3-6-2-11.
