30 January 2026. GBV Lucky Ass Tasting (@ Baracuna). Cheers to the whole crew!

Hazy red, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of overripe cherry, nectarine, pomegrenate, vanilla, almond, oxidised apple. Taste has sour red apple, cherry & pomegrenate; bitter middle of grape skin & wood. Lingering bitter finish of grape skin, a tad soapy. Medium body, moussy texture, average carbonation. Was hoping for more of that Lambic profile; I'm not blown away.

Bottle pour at MBCC 2025 (Green session), pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma has a great musty, tannic grape skin character, and moderate barnyard funk. Flavour has a great vinous character, with musty grape skins, barnyard funk, and tannins. Really nice combo of grapes and funk. Excellent.
