From shared bottle at Maakun’s. Black with tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, charcoal, laurel and licorice, berries and some coffee. Big sweet and bitter. Full body and soft carbonation. Very nice deep roast.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Black with very big light brown head. Very lively! Quite some licorice and roast, light molasses, ash, sweet caramel, coffee, black berries, soft juniper and herbs in the finish. Over medium sweet and medium bitter with soft sour ash. Full bodied with quite some carbonation. Maybe a bit too carbonated but otherwise a very solid RIS.

On tap at Little Delirium. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of burnt malts, roast, coffee, hops, caramel, dark chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet, lots of roast, coffee, burnt, dark chocolate, caramel, hint of grapefruit, hoppy, bittersweet finish. Medium to full bodied, alcohol well hidden. Really good, classic RIS.
