On tap a Pühaste Taproom Tallinn, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is quite hoppy, with bold roast, salted caramel, and a touch of earthy coffee. Flavour is smooth, with medium roast, a touch of salted caramel, earthy hoppiness, and some bitter coffee. Sturdy and well-constructed. Bold porter.

200ml draught at Pühaste Taproom Tallinn. Shared with Finn. Good looking in the glass with a fawn-coloured head, hanging lacing, and a near-black body. Promising aromas of brown malts. Malt-forward taste of cocoa, chocolate, earth, and dark caramel. Rounded roasted malty tail. Fine bodied. Good drinking. (Tallinn, 05.11.2025).

Bottle at home. Pours deep brown, practically black with a persistent beige head. Nose is chocolate and light caramel, mainly sweet but with hints of bitterness to it, some pine perhaps, cocoa powder-like.Taste is also milk chocolate and dark chocolate, some cocoa powder. Mainly sweet again, but it has touches of bitterness too. Closes with a cocoa and chocolate finish, has a light, somewhat creamy body, drinks below the ABV. A nice American porter all in all, it's hopped almost to the extent of a black IPA, but the bitterness is kept nicely in bay. Great.

Puhaste Porter 6.6%

Pitch black with thick dense beige foam. This is a beautiful dark beer, really picture perfect. The aroma is mouthwatering roasted malts with dark licorice in the aroma. The taste is umami savory notes, roast malts, licorice and dark chocolate brownies.

This is really good as expected from the region that created the style Baltic Porter.
