Inspired by our favourite Scottish dessert we brewed this decadent Scotch Ale with raspberries, toasted oatmeal, honey and cream then aged it for two years in highland whisky barrels.

330ml bottle at Agenturet Øl og Vinbar. Dotted spots from a filmy layer. Cloudy dark brown body. Aroma of prunes and sweet berries. Sweet jam-like taste profile, moments of berries, prunes, and plums. Port wine impression. Fine depth and smooth, but way too sweet in the long run. (Shared with Esben, Tromsø 10.11.2018).

From backlog. 330ml bottle. Sweet, doughy and heavy with raspberry juice notes, loads of malts, berries and toffee. Weird and a bit messy.

Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles' place. Thanks zvikar. Murky amber-brown. Caramel, berries, toffee, whiskey, wood, vanilla, sourish and sweetish, honey, bitterish touch, medium-bodied. A bit messy but nice.

Rating #2500. 330ml bottle. Pours hazy reddy-brown with a beige head. Aroma of strong boozy raspberry liqueur, honey, berries, whisky. Taste is very sweet and boozy, raspberries, honey, cherry, dark berries, toasted oats, liquorice, whisky, warming alcohol. Full bodied, very smooth, fine carbonation. Great beer, extremely rich and sweet, a bit too much for me actually, one for sipping and sharing for sure.

At a tasting, small stable medium creamy off white head, thick oily pour, cloudy very dark red color, aroma of raspberries, sour cherry and cake maltiness behind, just like a black forest gateau, flavor of berries a bit dryish with some chocolate and a light cakey maltiness, light but quite boticable dark fruit sourness. Really enjoyable, excellent.

Bottle (thanks Martin L). Pours dark copper-red. Aroma is sweet, raspberries, malt, honey, booze. Flavor follows the nose, but has also some sourness and bitterness. Overall: very good.

Bottle. Color: Hazy reddish brown, very thin beige head. Aroma: Very strange mix of raspberries, berries, sweet notes (honey?), herbs, and alcohol. Taste: Sweetish honey, pretty strong sweet and slightly sour raspberries, malt / oatmeal, herbs, sugar and alcohol. Creamy mouthfeel. Very unusual and complex mix of tastes. Strange, not directly unpleasant, but does not immediately remind me of a beer. Syrupy, sticky, medium to above medium body, average carbonation. Nice one to taste once, funny experience, but no need to try again.
