We aged our rich and chocolatey imperial milk stout in freshly-emptied Heaven Hill bourbon barrels to add flavors of vanilla and caramel to the sweet bourbon-like notes. We then added mountains of toasted coconut, elevating an already decadent beer to blissful new heights of dessert ecstasy.

Relatively well balanced. Coconut and roast, whiskey. Comes off a little sweet and boozy. Black pour with good head and lacing. Oily. Tap at Savor.

500ml bottle from Tavour. Black pour, fizzy beige head fades to flat. Sweet coconut aroma, chocolaty. Taste features layers of coconut and sweet chocolate. Velvety, smooth, creamy. Hint of booze. Top notch.

Feels more muted than 2020 but still fantastic barrel and coconut milk stout balance. Medium light body and lots of coconut and heaven hill flavor. Great chocolate bourbon coconut macaroon vibes.

Bottle from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a transient tan smear. Aroma of toasted coconut and chocolate. Full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, toasted coconut and bourbon. Some non-musty wood. Not at all dry. Bitterness likely from bourbon and wood, and perhaps dark chocolate. Good, tasty flavor. Very nice indeed.

Bottle from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a monstrous creamy dark tan head that went foamy. Aroma of bourbon and chocolate. Med plus body. Flavor is chocolate, burnt malt, lactose and bourbon. Not dry, but not sticky sweet. Not bitter, but burnt malt, heat and some oak astringency counter the sweetness. Lactose may be fighting the malt/heat. Let's call it suave. Very tasty ale.
