In 1896, a kiwi confectioner in Dunedin patented Hokey Pokey and we've been obsessed with the stuff ever since.
From chocolate bars to ice cream and now... beer.
Light caramel vanilla flavours with a burst of honeycomb balance the decadent coffee and chocolate malt taste.
A proper kiwi stout. Hokey Pokey.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours jet black with a dissipating tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, sweet, sticky, vanilla ice cream, hot caramel sauce, stroopwaffel, honeycomb crunch, milky coffee, chocolate and toffee. The taste is bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, toasty, slick, touch of coffee, chewy liquorice, caramel, vanilla, toffee, stroopwaffel, milk chocolate, toffee crisp, touch of alcohol with a smooth toasty finish. Fulsome body and fine prickly carbonation. Fun stuff. Aroma is quite intense and sweet, but thankfully the taste is a touch more toned down.
