Nitro version @ Albion (2/3/20). Opaque inky black with creamy dark beige head, mocha aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter mocha taste, smooth body, long finish. Nice stout.

Keg at Flint Gate, Weybridge. Seen it various times but never tried it so chose it over some interesting craft options. Nil aroma. Dark and glossy. Thin bubbly white head. Light bitter with an interesting charred roasty element. Thin. Light bodied. So a disappointment on both those factors. Flat carbonation. Lingering if not long finish. Was expecting it to be as bland as standard keg Guinness but it did have some character to it. Not mind blowing but challenged my assumption.

This is more of a backlog kind of situation. Didn't realize that keg was different tick. Anyways, looks good, smells roasty. Tastes sweet and roasty with some coffee and some malt. Body is on the thinner side. Overall: ok i guess.

Dark brown color. Light brown head. Thin body with chocolate and some dark fruits. Fairly light and drinkable with less roasted malts than expected. Not bad.

Bakers’ chocolate and charred oak nose. Cola brown, thin tan head. Chocolate flavor, salty, a touch of DMS. Soft carbonation. Not in the best condition, but but not awful.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours black with orange glints and a creamy light tan head. Aroma of treacle and arguably chocolate. Med body, nearly. Flavor is like aroma, except the malt seems slightly smoky. Finishes lightly, treacly sweet.

[Keg at the Hill House, Happisburgh, Norfolk] Astonished to find this in a remote coastal village in Norfolk - I’ve never seen it anywhere else, how on earth did it get here?! Pours brown-black with a large beige head. There’s lots of plum and smoke, some smooth chocolate. All the ingredients for a decent beer are there, and it’s surprisingly full of flavour for keg, but somehow the flavours didn’t quite work out together for me. Don’t know why, but I didn’t like it, even though I felt I should have. Sorry.

Served on nitro at Beer Run. Pours a clear dark brown color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of sweet malts, roasted malts, caramel and chocolate. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa and mild bitter hops. Medium bodied. Nice. 50th Scottish rating!
