Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is tart dark fruits with roasted malt, chocolate, grapes, overripe fruits, tobacco, prunes, and a little coffee. Tart and medium sour flavour, medium body. No sign of the 10%. I'm not particularly fond of Sour Stout but when I approach this as an Alvinne Sour with dark roast and chocolate, it works wonders.

Bottled. Pretty close to black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, some tart tones with mild liquorice and alcohol with some coffee too. Flavour is coffee, chocolate, some tart vinegary tones with mild alcohol and some toffee too. No, this one is ruined with funk/tartness from the Morpheus.

Bottled 330ml Dark brown colour, tiny off-white head. Toasted, chocolaty, sourish aroma. Medium-bodied. Astringent tart, balsamico, coffee, chocolate flavour. Yes, funky but not in a good way. Some alcohol kick in the aftertaste. Slow sipper, 330ml is more than enough. Why?

Tap at Unorthodox. Funky in this case means this has got unbalanced amount of sourness, rather thin body. God rid of the maltiness that usually balances ghe booze, so it is now warm and too thin. The barnyard character combines very weirdly with the roast. Cant say that I am a fan. Hard to drink, tart, astringent, lacking any semblance of balance.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker. Pours hazy black with a quickly thinning, frothy, beige head. Aroma of ruby port, blackberries, fig, old chocolate praliné, chocolate powder, brambleberries, leather, earth, tobacco. Taste has sweetish raisin, blackcurrant, sour brambleberries, funk, yeast, red wine, malty chocolate with a powdery feel, somewhat herbal & toasty bitter, vague roastedness. Dry, tart, toasty finish, tobacco-like, lots of sweet & sour dark fruits, eventually a dash of heating port-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. This beer wants it all, losing its sense of direction, but there's potential in it...
