Magyar Vándor is a special Lager-Ale hybrid craft beer, made of five different types of hop and three kinds of malt, through bottom and top fermenting. The middle alcohol content ensures a really characteristic taste with an easy palate. This is the farewell beer that was made of our brewery founder, József Simkó before retiring: a liquid wandering stick for the next generation.

On tap @ Ogrebácsi. Clear golden color, thick head. Strong fruity notes in aroma and taste with some hoppy and malty overtones in taste. Light bodied, easily dribkable, softly carbonated.

Im Glas leicht opaltrüb und bernsteinfarben. Die cremefarbene, feinporige Schaumkrone ist dabei überaus stabil und unglaublich langlebig. In die Nase strömen in erster Linie sehr saftig mit fruchtig-floralen Noten von Pfirsich, Marille und Hollunderblüte. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, weich und fruchtig-herb. Im Mundgefühl zeigt sich ein Körper mit mäßiger Fülle, feiner Rezenz, samtiger Textur und einem schönen Spiel aus Süße und Trockenheit. Aromatisch finden sich die fruchtigen und floralen Noten von Steinobst und Hollunderblüte wieder. Hinzu kommt eine herbale bis leicht harzige Hopfenaromatik und einer passenden Bitterkeit, die für Ausgewogenheit sorgt. Das ergibt ein sehr schönes und harmonisches Gesamtbild. Durch das passende Spiel aus Süße und Bitterkeit entsteht auch eine hervorragende Drinkability. Es macht wirklich Freude, dieses Bier zu trinken. Im Nachtrunk wirken die fruchtig-floralen und frisch-herbalen Noten für kurze Zeit nach und auch die Rezenz baut langsam ab. Danach bleibt eine angenehme, leicht trockene, kräuterig-heuige Hopfenaromatik über.

33cl bottle from Tesco hypermarket in Mosonmagyaróvár. Head is medium, egg-white, good retention. Colour is deep gold, light hazy. Aroma is malty, orange, citrus, caramel, toast. Taste is medium malty base, toast, citrus, light caramel, bit herbal, nice balanced bitterness, medium carbonation, good hybrid beer, enjoyed.

Endlich einmal ein wirklich gutes ungarisches Bier, das man sogar im Supermarkt bekommt. Es ist als Ale-Lager-Hybride gekennzeichnet ist dieses Bier, das soviel heißt wie Ungarischer Wanderer. Es hat einen schönen, tiefen malzigen Körper und eine ganz leichte Hopfenfrische, was gut der Definition entspriciht und und einmal etwas spritzig-feines Neues ist, ohne übertrieben zu wirken. Hat mir wirklich gut gefallen.

33 cl bottle. Clear golden colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, earthy floral hoppy notes, some bread. Pale malts. Taste is bitter. Medium bodied. Dry and bitter finish with citrus fruit and grasses. True to style, well balanced.
