Can shared at home. Nose is cacao, coffee and light maple, somehow saline too. Taste is heavy in chocolate, some coffee, dark sugar, booze, a vague vanilla hint. Body is thick as ever, smooth and chewy.

44cl can. pours BLACK with a thick smooth dark brown head. boy does this look mean. Aroma is dominated by espresso coffe, roasted malts, hard roasted malts, good quality dark caramel, licorice, fainter lightly charred woody notes, dark chocolate. complex, balanced, heavy, non-sweet. absolutely fantastic aroma, it might be even better if a bit stronger, but what is, is fantastic. great thick mouthfeel, flavor is roasted malts and espresso coffee, salty note, chocolate, faint licorice, booze (bourbon). notes of dark caramel. aftertaste is dark caramel, coffee, roasted malts. For once a pastry stout that is not overly sweet. Really good bourbon stout. I don't know if it has been on wood, it could perhaps do well with just a tiny bit more wood and charred wood flavor. still, as it is... near perfect brutally potent imp. stout. It is very rare I rate beers this high. Aroma was exceptional, looks were the meanest I ever saw, flavor and mouthfeel world class so there's that..
