22nd September 2018
Borefts X. I'm ten for ten! Day 2. Keg. Opaque black - brown beer, good pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, a little dark chocolate. Spicy licorice. Tangy dark fruits. Smooth finish. Simple stuff but pleasant.

On tap at Borefts Beer Festival. De Molen Brewery, Bodegraven, Netherlands, Friday 21st September 2018. A sunshine and heavy showers sort of day. Pours black. Some dark treacle, thick in the mouth, however there is quite a bitter and roasty edge. Good. . A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Sampled from tap at Borefts 2018. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty aroma of dark chocolate, licorice and coffee. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee and licorice, followed by a long, rather roasty-bitter, fairly earthy-dry finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!
