Smoliście czarna, pozbawiona prześwitów, tak wygląda barwa płynu. Piana w kolorze ciemnego brązu średnio wysoka, dość szybko topnieje do cienkiego pierścienia. Niemal każde przechylenie sniftera powoduje "pływanie" piany po szkle.
Aromat bardzo intensywny, palony, kawowy, z nutami ciemnej czekolady, kakao, akcentami orzechów.
Smak minimalnie słodki z paloną, kawową goryczką. Goryczka jest wyraźna, długa, "sucha".
Alkohol nieznacznie przypomina o swojej obecności. Ciało wysokie, pełne. Tekstura płynu jest oleiście gładka, "śliska". Posmak długi wytrawny, kawowy, palony.

Blik gedeeld door Roelzie, geprobeerd met Shannon en Guus. Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een dun laagje schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout en gedroogd fruit. De smaak is vol gebrande mout, koffie, chocolade en gedroogd fruit.

Can from Kerrera, Guildford. Aroma is sweet: dark fruit, berries, molasses. Unintrusive chocolate and coffee. Visualy: Creosote in a 360ml can. Tan head attempts to foam but stalls and slinks away in shame, for shame. Flavourwise: rich dark chocolate, mocha. A creamy streak. My typical berry reference. Develops a spicy finish. Molasses enveloped finish. A gentle rasp of alcohol. Thick. Oily. Oil slick mouth. Soft tricksy carbonation. Long if undemanding finish. A slow release astringentcy. A big but gentle boy. Not in the slightest bit coarse.

Can. Dark brown, coffee foam. Aroma: strong, caramel, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, spiced rum. Taste: sweet, caramel, chocolate, rum, bitter finish, good.

Appearance: Opaque petroleum black with a decent tan head. Aroma: Roast & toast, esters, salted caramel, rum, chocolate bisquits, some hop. Taste: Light sweet, light to medium bitter. Roast & toast, good chocolate, esters, salted caramel, rum, floral hop. Mouth feel: Medium to full body. Soft to average carbonation. Overall: Nice.

Can shared at tasting. Opaque black color, virtually no head. Aroma is malts, cocoa, dark chocolate. Flavor is malts, chocolate, cocoa, cocoa bitters. Lovely.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, good roast, some dried fruits, caramel, mocha, dark chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of dark chocolate, bitter, deep roast, a little sweet, coffee, mocha, good bitterness. Aftertaste: sugary, caramel, chocolate, bitter, earthy, sugary, some alcohol, overripe banana.
