Samen met Pomona Island Brew maakten we anderhalf jaar geleden deze mooie quadrupel. Dit bier hebben we voor 16 maanden in Buffalo Trace vaten gelegd.
Het bijzondere aan dit bier is dat het een heel fijn licht en fris zuurtje heeft. Wat je dus mag verwachten van dit Barrel Project zijn zoete smaken van de quadrupel in combinatie met de bourbon en een licht vineuze afdronk.

Tap at Gollem. Cloudy red, Full oud bruin notes, light wooden tart, berry, dry, quite pleasant. Quick finish.

Can from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Aroma is vinous with caramel, oak, dried fruits, raisins, notes of bourbon. Flavour is sourish. Body is medium. I doubt it was intentional, but barrel aging has turned this into something like a strong Flanders Oud Bruin.
Erg alcoholisch en vlak.

See on hea näide, miks Kees on tänapäeval selline so-so pruulikoda. Burbooni vaadi quad peaks olema magus, belgia pärmine, vaniljene jne. See on hapu, marjane, tammene ja bretine. Kui burbooni vaat on hapu, siis on miskit ikka pekki läinud. Joodav.
Decent beer. Not their best for the size. A little on the thin boozy hot side. But good. Sterk ams

Can shared at Mancave Bunnik. Red / red-brown color, virtually no head. Aroma and flavor are lightly malts, a sourish wood hint, light liquor. Hmm not very good tbh.

Süß-säuerlicher Beginn, dunkles Malz, keine Röstnoten. Bourbon, etwas Vanille, nur wenig ansteigende Malzigkeit, ungewöhnlich, weniger Tiefgang als erwartet. Hmm... 8/9/7/8/8/8

340 ml can. Pours a murky mahogany with fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of vinous wood, plums, caramel and toasted malts. Flavors of old oak, grape must, sweet caramel, raisins and toasted malt. A bit siur and no bourbon notes. Not what I was expecting for a BA Quad.

A 33 cl can that did not totally survive its trip from the Netherlands. But there is enough to sample. The appearance is a dark, cola-colored liquid and I get a scent of very ripe, dark fruit, grain and some alcohol. The taste is red plums, some malt, a touch of toffee sweetness and more of a vinous effect than expected. Not bad but not what I anticipated.

Can at home. Pours ruby amber, nose is caramel, berries, vanilla, taste is similar.
