Aged for 16 months in Buffalo Trace barrels.
Samen met Pomona Island Brew maakten we anderhalf jaar geleden deze mooie quadrupel. Dit bier hebben we voor 16 maanden in Buffalo Trace vaten gelegd.
Het bijzondere aan dit bier is dat het een heel fijn licht en fris zuurtje heeft. Wat je dus mag verwachten van dit Barrel Project zijn zoete smaken van de quadrupel in combinatie met de bourbon en een licht vineuze afdronk.

Blik 33cl thuis. Vineus, zuurtje, hop (Saaz), caramel, chocoladetonen, rozijn, pruim, bourbontonen, eik, wat vanille, licht boozy. (23-3-2024).

Clear, red-brown beer. Thin head. Aroma.has dried fruit, bourbon and caramel. Bourbon is up front in the flavour, very sweet, there's caramel here too , something very slightly sour and funky, malt, a little wood from the barrel. Lomgering sweetness and boozy warmth in the finish.

0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', best before December 2026. Clear, deep ruby with a few white bubbles on top of it. Intensely sweetish-malty, gently fruity and a little yeasty-spicy aroma of molasses, prunes, bourbon, vanilla and traces of marzipan. Rather sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity and a bit yeasty-spicy taste of molasses, prunes, blackberry, lots of bourbon, vanilla and some marzipan, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly woody finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Pleasant, moreish ale, rather clean for a Quad, fairly intense. One of the better BA beers from Kees recently.
